Kyoto (74) Torokko train (75)

Our tour

Kyoto, the beautiful. Formerly the imperial residence, religious, aesthetic, musical, theater center ... It holds alone more than 20% of the national treasures of Japan, including almost 2,000 Buddhist temples and Shinto.
The path of the Philosophers
full of  teddy bears is a beautiful promenade that follows a small canal of 1.6 km leading to Ginkaku-ji dry garden, a symbol of wisdom.
We also had the chance to attend the Feast of the Rose
(May 15), a parade in costumes of courtiers of the empire. This is the oldest festival still celebrated around the world.
It is also in Kyoto that we could attend the wedding of a beautiful geisha, the pictures speak for themselves...
In the vicinity, the ride with the Torokko train
is to be done when the weather is good, a walk in the old electric train that follows the river Hozu which we can go down by boat to return.
