Theater Nô & Kabuki (35)

Japan "lifestyle" > Real artists

Because Nô and especially Kabuki are present. (like it or not)

Theater Nô: the tearing of the flute, the obsessive rhythm of the drum, moans and cries from beyond the grave that enthuse to reach, finally, the highlight of the show: the disappearance of a ghost ...
Kabuki: white powdery clown faces where all roles are played by men and their slippery approach  ...
Personally, I'm not a fan of either one or the other but some Kabuki masters today obtained the status of "living national treasure", so it was necessary to say a few words.
If you want to know a bit more about them:

Théâtre Nô

Théâtre Kabuki

Note that the Japanese are masters of the avant-garde theater too.
Oriza Hirata is one of the most recognized figures of Japanese contemporary theater. His most famous dramas are Tokyo Notes and People from Seoul, we saw it ten years ago in Paris with a peculiar subtitle!

Seen on television, the last 45 minutes of an obsessive show.

Television during a trip, it is not so exciting but watching sumo, Kabuki or music channel, the hypnotic shock is guaranteed!
