Shinjuku (65)

Our tour > Tokyo

Shinjuku, our anchor in Tokyo, as the starting point of our tour of three weeks, we stayed a week at the Best Western hotel in Tokyo in the lively Kabuki-cho crowded with department stores, bars, restaurants and nightclubs.

After crossing countless suburbs from Narita airport to central Tokyo, we arrived in Shinjuku, the largest station in the world. There are 50 exits: Yes, we found ours!

Exhausted but eager to discover the small area at the bottom of our tour, we went to a small
Chinese restaurant :-) hidden in the depths of an alley of the Golden Kai. The Shao Chi Shanghai, delicious food in a kitsch place. We then continued the evening at "La Jetée" a neighborhood bar even tinier, run by a fan of Léo Ferré ...

It is in the Shinjuku district that the Park Hyatt
is also situated where the movie "Lost in Translation" was shot  and this is at the bar that we discovered one of the most impressive views of Tokyo by night.
